Job Description: The Lead Internal Audit Oversight Specialist oversees the internal quality assurance and enhancement program (QAIP) within the Internal Audit department, ensuring compliance with the International Internal Audit Standards (IIAS) and supporting the department’s strategic goals. This role serves as a vital consultant to the Chief Internal Auditor, providing assurance on the department’s efficiency and preparedness for external reviews, while preparing for potential senior leadership responsibilities. Duties include designing and managing a robust QAIP to assess audit efficiency and compliance, conducting regular internal evaluations, leading preparations for external reviews, refining audit methodologies with best practices and analytics, mentoring staff, advising the Chief Internal Auditor, presenting findings to leadership and the Audit Committee, tracking remediation efforts, planning for succession, and maintaining strong ties with stakeholders including the Board and external auditors.
